About this ebook

A dog walker with a secret crush and a jilted fireman with no desire to risk watching his heart go up in flames ever again.

Fire Chief Brad Sinclair had his future planned and then his fiancée married someone else and left him and his heart in ashes. He’s started over, seems to have picked up the pieces...but now his brother is getting married and his happy news is stirring up emotions Brad would rather he didn’t feel. When the cute dog walker’s apartment goes up in flames, he suddenly finds himself feeling the heat from attraction and the local ladies who think she’s just what the local hero needs to put his life back on track.

Lulu Raintree is feeling mixed up and out of control—is she a stalker? She’s been obsessed with the gorgeous Fire Chief ever since she moved to town. So much so that she sometimes hides behind bushes just to get a glimpse of him but she avoids coming face to face with him at all cost. When her apartment catches fire there is no place to hide as the handsome hero comes to her rescue.

But things are not as they seem and her past that sent her running to hide in the beautiful beach town of Sunset Bay might be the key to her infatuation with the handsome Brad Sinclair.

Heartaches are hard to get over, can love find a way to mend the broken hearted...and slightly obsessed?

This second book in this series is a sweet, clean romance that will touch your hearts. We met Lulu Raintree in book one. She is fairly in town, and is known as the dog walker. A woman that keeps to herself. Not getting too friendly nor revealing her painful past. A past that left her determined not to get involved , especially romantically. Brad Sinclair is the local Fire Chief who Lulu has been both avoiding and “stalking”. He makes her nervous. Little does she know that Brad too, has been hurt deeply by someone who was suppose to love him unconditionally, and and he too has no interest in getting romantically involved. But fate brings them together and as they start getting feelings for each other, they both run in opposite directions. It’s a story about being hurt in love in life and taking the risk of getting a second chance at love . It’s also a story about family as well as once again “living” and forming friendships. A very good addition to this series. I am looking forward to what else the author has in store for us. I was entrusted a copy of this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own

You can't beat a book by Debra Clopton. They are always filled with fun, inspiration, comedy, love and happy ever after. This one is about a dog walker Lulu and the Fire Chief, Brad. Lulu moved back to town after being left at the altar. The ex HTB ran off with the bridesmaid. She could not face them after, as they all worked in the same law office. Lulu is fascinated by Brad but unable to face him after she was embarrassed in front of him. Brad is gun shy, as he also was left at the altar. His ex WTB went to LA to sell real estate. But, they get together after her apartment burns down, and love wins out in the end. I recommend this book.
